Fascinated by the laws of physics, Italian designer Giovanni Pagnotta designed this chair to demonstrate how compound curves are highly efficient at transferring and managing load. "By using curvature, you can optimise strength while minimising material usage," says Giovanni. "The challenging part is translating that into a comfortable chair."
